This tool has been designed to install the actuator link rod on the arm of the turbo. When servicing either the turbo or actuator they must be separated. This connection is very difficult to install, and the components can be easily damaged if extreme caution is not taken. It is important for a technician to have the correct specialty tool. With this tool, the technician simply rotates the arm up, slips the self-centering installer over the arm, and with two wrenches the stud is pushed into the arm in a matter of seconds ensuring precise alignment and secure installation of the turbo vane actuator, a critical component in regulating turbocharger performance and engine power.
