Proper levels of nitrite and silicate are what give Motorcraft Coolant its ability to protect your engine. Many other coolants do not have the necessary nitrite and silicate levels. Motorcraft Supplemental Coolant Additive recharges depleted silicates and nitrites in the cooling system.
